In 2009, a group of dedicated citizens in Racine envisioned a community united through urban gardening. This vision led to the establishment of the Racine Urban Garden Network, which created its first garden, Marquette Street Garden, in 2010. Over the years, RUGN has expanded to over 10 garden sites, cultivating more than 300 plots and fostering a spirit of collaboration and sustainability.
