Founded in 1967, the Racine Arts Council encourages and supports both emerging and established artists in the Racine community. By facilitating art experiences and collaborations, RAC plays a vital role in enriching the local arts landscape.
In 2017, RAC celebrated its 50th anniversary, marking a significant milestone as one of Wisconsin’s longest-running arts councils. With community support, RAC has hosted three writers-in-residence, showcased 26 artists at the ArtSpace gallery, and connected 400 individuals to the local art community through the ArtStart outreach program.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, the Racine Arts Council is volunteer-run and relies on generous donations to continue promoting the positive power of art.
