Our Story

Rachel’s Challenge was founded in the wake of the Columbine High School tragedy, honoring the memory of Rachel Scott and the other victims. Rachel’s legacy of kindness and compassion inspires a movement aimed at transforming school environments. Her family discovered that Rachel’s simple acts of kindness had a profound impact on those around her, leading to the creation of Rachel’s Challenge. This organization focuses on fostering positive connections among students, educators, and parents to combat bullying, school violence, and mental health issues.

Since 2001, Rachel’s Challenge has reached over 30 million individuals, creating safer and more connected school communities. With the support of educators, parents, and donors, lives are changed and saved.
