In 2006, the Juvenile Justice Partnership began discussions on race, leading to the formation of Race Matters for Juvenile Justice (RMJJ) in 2010. This initiative aims to address disproportionality and disparities within the juvenile justice system.

Impact

RMJJ is dedicated to reducing disparities for children and families of color through education and community organizing, significantly impacting the juvenile justice system in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.
