Our Story

SoCal Parrot was founded by Brooke Durham to address the urgent need for care and rehabilitation of Southern California's wild parrot populations. Witnessing the inadequate treatment of these beautiful birds at a local wildlife center inspired the creation of this dedicated organization.

Impact

Since 2014, SoCal Parrot has made remarkable strides in rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing wild parrots back into their natural habitats. The establishment of a new wildlife rehabilitation permit in the San Diego area has further enhanced their capacity to care for these birds.
