Our Story

Founded in 2014 by Sorin Thomas and fellow graduate students at Naropa University, Queer Asterisk emerged from a vision to create a mental health organization that prioritizes social justice and is led by queer and transgender professionals. This unique approach ensures that the services provided are deeply informed by the lived experiences of the community.
