Our Story

Founded in 1967, Queens Community House began as a response to the need for low-income housing in middle-class neighborhoods. Overcoming initial community resistance, the Forest Hills Community House opened its doors in 1976, dedicated to fostering diversity and community support. In 2007, the organization was renamed to reflect its expanded mission across Queens, continuing its commitment to empower individuals and strengthen community ties.
