Support Individuals With Disabilities

Empowering Individuals Through the Arts

Since its inception in 1994, Pyramid Inc has been dedicated to providing transformative services for adults with severe intellectual and developmental disabilities. With the opening of Pyramid Tampa in 1998, the organization expanded its mission to include unique visual and performing arts programs. These programs were designed to engage individuals whose cognitive, physical, and behavioral characteristics do not align with traditional learning strategies.

Today, Pyramid is renowned for its innovative arts programs, employing over 30 professional artists and performers. The program has seen remarkable growth, expanding from 221 students to more than 700, with artists showcasing their works across the Panhandle, central Florida, and even in major cities like Philadelphia and New York City. Pyramid performers have captivated audiences from Orlando to Pensacola, demonstrating the power of the arts in fostering creativity and self-expression.

Beyond the arts, Pyramid offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes computer training, community activities, physical management for wheelchair users, behavioral assistance, education, and life-management skills training. Each student is empowered to choose their classes, much like college students, under the guidance of a dedicated team of 150 staff members who believe in their potential.
