Our Story

The P.E.A.C.E. Initiative, established in 1990 by the Roman Catholic Order of Benedictine Sisters, is committed to addressing domestic violence in the community. Since becoming an independent 501(c)(3) organization in 2003, it has united approximately 50 institutions and grassroots organizations to combat family violence.

Our Impact

In 2014-2015, the P.E.A.C.E. Initiative hosted numerous events and workshops, reaching thousands and advocating for essential funding for domestic violence services. The Project ADVANCE program boasts a 75% graduation rate and an 87% non-rearrest rate for first-time offenders.
