Our Story

Putah Creek Council began as a project of the Davis Audubon Society in 1988, uniting individuals passionate about conserving Putah Creek’s unique habitat. The organization has tirelessly worked to secure adequate water flows, culminating in the landmark Putah Creek Accord of 2000, which established permanent environmental flows for the creek.
