Our Story

PUSH Birth Partners was inspired by Jacqueline McLeeland’s personal journey through maternal health challenges. In 2015, her research into the maternal health crisis revealed the struggles new mothers face, particularly in the workplace. This led to the formation of a network of advocates and community leaders dedicated to improving maternal health experiences. PUSH is a diverse organization made up of families who have faced various challenges, including loss during childbirth and high-risk pregnancies. Together, they are committed to advocating for better maternal health outcomes across Texas and beyond.

Our Impact

PUSH is dedicated to enhancing maternal health experiences and outcomes through trusted partnerships and support systems. The focus is on advancing health equity for women of color, families at higher risk of pregnancy-related complications, and those who are medically uninsured or underinsured.
