Our Story

Purple was established in 2013 as a feminist umbrella organization dedicated to promoting the lesbian and womyn’s community. It focused on the Lesbian Legacies Endowment at Michigan State University Libraries, supporting grants for visiting scholars.

Impact

Through a virtual kickoff event, Purple successfully raised $4,700 for the Lesbian Legacies Endowment Fund, ensuring ongoing contributions to support vital research.
