Our Story

Puerto Rico Rise Up, Inc. is a dedicated nonprofit organization formed by a diverse group of professional Puerto Rican women united by a common goal: to bring help and comfort to those in need. Established in the wake of Hurricane Maria in September 2017, PRRU mobilized quickly to provide essential medical care, equipment, and medications to the affected communities.

Impact

Since launching the Coqui Education Program in May 2018, PRRU has invested over $18,000 in educational activities, positively impacting 450 children from underserved communities. With over $9 million raised in contributions, PRRU has reached more than 323,000 individuals through various initiatives, including food distribution and medical support.
