Our Story

The Pucusana Project was founded in 2018, but its roots trace back to 2004 when Albert Wallace discovered a school in Pucusana, Peru, advocating for the protection of African Penguins. This journey led to the establishment of the nonprofit by Allison Howald-Wallace, focusing on empowering local residents through education, business training, and community development.

Impact

Significantly impacting the community, the Pucusana Project has provided educational opportunities, food relief during the pandemic, and established community programs. Recognized by local authorities for its efforts, the organization is dedicated to rebuilding a school and starting a church in Pucusana.
