Our Story
The Public Defender of Marion County Office, established on July 2, 2007, has grown from a small team of two attorneys and two staff members to a robust non-profit law firm dedicated to serving indigent defendants in criminal cases. Governed by a seven-member board of trustees, PDMC is committed to anti-racism and ensuring equitable outcomes for all clients. By contracting with the state, PDMC plays a vital role in the public defense system, advocating for justice and fairness in Marion County.
