Since 1913, the Providence Animal Rescue League has been a sanctuary for countless animals in need throughout the Greater Providence area. As an open admission shelter, PARL practices managed intake, ensuring that every community member facing the difficult decision to surrender their pet receives compassionate support. Stray animals are also welcomed, providing them with a safe haven when no other options are available.

Our Impact

PARL is proud to meet the nationally recognized standards of a 'no-kill' organization. Euthanasia is only considered for animals that pose a significant safety risk or are suffering beyond help. Annual statistics are published to uphold transparency and accountability in our mission.
