Protected Harbor was founded in January 2000 by George and Athena Pappas, driven by their desire to create a faith-based assisted living home for their daughter, Cleo. Joined by Monika and Robert Newman, the organization aims to provide a nurturing environment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
