Our Story

The Prospect Park Free Library was established in 1926, thanks to the dedication of the Women's Civic Club and Mrs. T. Willard Barret, who opened her home to create the first library. As community interest grew, a new building was dedicated on November 4, 1926, preserving the original collection of 10 books that formed the library's nucleus.

Impact

This library serves as a vital community resource, providing access to books, electronic resources, and educational programs that foster a love for reading and learning among residents.
