Our Story
Promise Youth Development Inc. (PYD) was founded in 2016 by Tesha Boyd, a Registered Nurse, in response to the community's needs following civil unrest in Charlotte. Initially a mentoring program for teenage girls, PYD has expanded to serve boys and girls from elementary to high school, inspiring minds and shaping futures.

PYD focuses on developing optimal health in underserved youth through education, resilience-focused mentoring, and anti-violence programs.
