In 2005, John Essien envisioned a world where every child in Ghana could access quality education, regardless of their family's financial situation. Growing up in a community where the average income is just $42 per month, John witnessed firsthand the struggles families face in affording school tuition. Many children, some as young as five, are forced to work instead of attending school, limiting their potential and future opportunities.

After years of prayer and planning, Promise Land Ranch School opened its doors in 2010, starting with just 15 preschoolers. Today, the school has grown to serve over 350 students, offering tuition-free education from preschool through ninth grade. The school is renowned in the Ningo/Prampram School District for its commitment to providing quality education, meals, and clean water to its students.
