Our Story

Project Weber RENEW was founded to provide accessible services for male sex workers, inspired by the tragic story of Roy Weber. Originally established by Rich, who was diagnosed with HIV, the organization has evolved to include a drop-in center for peer support. In 2016, Project RENEW, led by Colleen Daley Ndoye, merged with Project Weber to enhance advocacy for alternatives to arrest for street-based sex workers, especially during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Impact

In just two years, Project Weber RENEW has achieved a remarkable 90% reduction in prostitution arrests in Pawtucket and Central Falls, showcasing the effectiveness of its community outreach and support services.
