About Project VIDA
Founded in 1992, Project VIDA is dedicated to addressing the urgent needs of racial and ethnic minorities in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. Initially focused on HIV education through street outreach, the organization has expanded its services to provide free and affordable health programs, ensuring access to quality care for all, regardless of income or insurance status. With a commitment to bilingual programming, Project VIDA offers a holistic approach to wellness through its Mind, Body, and Soul Health and Wellness Circle.
Impact of Project VIDA
Over the years, Project VIDA has positively impacted the lives of over 220,000 low-income Latino, Black, and undocumented individuals at risk for HIV in the Chicagoland area. The organization’s initiatives have significantly increased access to antiretroviral therapy and have played a crucial role in curbing the spread of HIV.
