Project Undercover was founded in 1992 by Richard Fleischer after he witnessed the high cost of diapers for his adopted daughter from India. Along with friend Frank DePetrillo, they initiated a small volunteer group to organize an annual diaper drive. Recognizing the overwhelming need, Project Undercover was formalized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2010, collaborating with partner agencies to distribute diapers, socks, wipes, and underwear to families in need across Rhode Island.
Project Undercover significantly impacts the lives of approximately 45,000 children living in poverty in Rhode Island by providing essential supplies that promote health and well-being.
