Transforming Lives Through Music

Founded in 2008 by Jāmin Gilbert, Project Rhythm is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved youth through innovative music education. With a background as a recording studio owner and volunteer music instructor, Jāmin recognized the profound impact that music creation can have on young people. In response to the decline of music programs in public schools, Project Rhythm was established to provide a unique approach that fosters personal and professional skill development through music.

Making a Global Impact

Project Rhythm has collaborated with over 20 host partners, including five NYC public schools and Sesame Street Workshop, reaching more than 1,500 children worldwide. By teaching essential life skills through music creation, the organization cultivates creativity, collaboration, and social-emotional learning.
