Our Story
Established in 1994, Project New Village serves as a community hub dedicated to enhancing social wellness. In 2008, the organization began addressing inequities in the local food system, becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2010. The mission focuses on improving fresh food access in Southeastern San Diego, part of a broader movement to cultivate healthy neighborhoods. By embracing urban farming and community engagement, Project New Village aims to enhance food access, food security, and environmental wellness.
