Our Story

Founded by Jahkil Naeem Jackson at just five years old, Project I Am emerged from a heartfelt experience of witnessing homelessness while helping his aunt distribute food. This pivotal moment ignited a passion for change, leading to the establishment of Project I Am in 2016. The organization is dedicated to raising awareness and providing essential support to the unhoused, while also nurturing the next generation of youth leaders to make a global impact.

Impact

Since its inception, Project I Am has distributed over 16,000 'Blessing Bags' filled with vital supplies to those in need. Engaging over 200 youth nationwide, the organization fosters leadership and community involvement, significantly enhancing local outreach and support for the unhoused.
