Founded in 2009 by local physicians, Project Access-New Haven addresses the critical issue of inadequate access to medical care for low-income individuals without health insurance. By mobilizing a dedicated volunteer provider network, PA-NH expands care for uninsured patients and connects them with essential local resources.
Since its inception, PA-NH has served over 3,000 individuals and navigated more than 24,000 medical appointments, mobilizing over $58 million in donated medical care. Patients report improved access to care and enhanced health-related quality of life.
