Our Story

Founded in 2001, Project ABLE began as a pilot initiative to provide essential peer support for individuals in Marion County facing mental health and co-occurring challenges. The success of this program led to its establishment as a nonprofit organization in 2003, becoming the first entity approved by the Oregon Health Authority to offer Peer Support Specialist Training. Today, Project ABLE serves hundreds across six counties in Oregon, emphasizing community and empowerment in recovery.
