About Progressive Community Health Centers

Founded in 1999, Progressive Community Health Centers, originally known as Westside Healthcare Association, has been a beacon of hope for underserved communities in Milwaukee. With a commitment to providing culturally competent health services, PCHC became a Federally Qualified Health Center in 2000, ensuring that quality care is accessible to all, regardless of financial circumstances.

Over the years, PCHC has expanded its services significantly. The Lisbon Avenue Health Center, which started with contracted physicians, now offers comprehensive primary care, dental care, behavioral health services, and pediatric care. In 2006, the Hillside Family Health Center was opened, further extending the reach of essential health services. The innovative 12th Street Urgent Care, launched in partnership with Aurora Sinai Medical Center in 2016, addresses immediate patient needs and connects individuals to primary care.

In 2023, PCHC served over 16,000 patients, totaling more than 52,000 visits, demonstrating a profound impact on the community. With a diverse patient demographic, PCHC is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of its community members.
