Our Story

Progress House was established in 1971 at the Camino Hotel, initially directed by the El Dorado Council on Alcoholism. After facing funding cuts in 1976, dedicated individuals reopened it as a nonprofit organization in 1978. Since then, Progress House has expanded its services to offer both residential and outpatient treatment for substance use disorders, catering to both men and women.
