Our Story
Founded in 1961 by individuals in recovery, Progress House began as a small sanctuary for men battling alcoholism in Indianapolis. Over the decades, it has evolved into a comprehensive recovery center, now located at 201 Shelby Street, just a mile from downtown. With the capacity to serve up to 100 men, Progress House provides a safe and supportive environment for those seeking to reclaim their lives from addiction.
In 2014, the Next Step program was launched, offering independent sober living for 48 men who have successfully completed the Progress House program. As a subsidiary of Aspire Indiana Health since 2019, Progress House integrates whole health recovery services, including medical care, behavioral health support, and employment services, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.
