Transforming Lives Through Empowerment

Founded in 1972 by Dr. Leo Brown, Jr. and Barbara Brown, Progress House Association (PHA) is dedicated to cultivating a stronger community through stewardship and hope. Initially focused on supporting incarcerated men, PHA has expanded its services to include women and youth, providing culturally attuned and trauma-informed care to those marginalized by the criminal-legal system, mental illness, substance use, and homelessness.

Impacting the Community

PHA has transformed over 16,000 lives, successfully helping formerly incarcerated individuals reintegrate into society and reducing recidivism rates.
