Programs for Exceptional People (PEP) was founded in 1995 by six families in Bluffton and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, to create essential programs and employment opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities. Initially, there were no services available in the area, but PEP has since grown to provide a supportive environment where members can learn, work, and socialize.
