Our Story

In the late 1980s, a single llama adopted by Karen Hoag and her husband sparked a journey that would lead to the establishment of Black Pine Animal Sanctuary. Originally known as the Professional Animal Retirement Center, this nonprofit organization has become a haven for over 60 species of wild and exotic animals. Accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries in 2019, the sanctuary is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for animals in need.

Impact

Black Pine Animal Sanctuary ensures that captive-raised exotic animals receive the care they deserve, allowing them to live peacefully for the rest of their lives.
