PRO Youth and Families

Our Story

Founded in 1981, PRO Youth and Families emerged from a grassroots initiative aimed at combating crime and drug issues in local parks. Under the visionary leadership of former President/CEO Kathy Hill, the organization expanded its mission to include prevention programs in schools and community sites. A significant merger with the Relationship Skills Center further enhanced its ability to serve youth and families in the Sacramento region.

Impact

In 2023, PRO Youth and Families made a remarkable impact by serving 3,800 youth, doubling the number from 2022. Since 2018, the organization has distributed $6 million in stipends and administrative funds to over 70 community partners, demonstrating its commitment to fostering hope and belonging.
