Our Story

Since 2005, PRIZM Ensemble has been dedicated to creating opportunities for Memphis’ youth to thrive in both musical and personal development. Founded by Lecolion and Carina Washington, the organization addresses the need for a performing and touring ensemble that reflects the diverse demographics of Memphis. Through programs like the PRIZM Music Camp & International Chamber Music Festival, PRIZM in the Schools, and the O Music Project, the organization provides essential musical education and mentorship to underserved communities.

In the 2022-2023 academic year, PRIZM celebrated significant achievements, including numerous scholarships awarded and schools involved, showcasing its commitment to youth development and community engagement through music education.
