Food Insecurity

Our Story

Established in 2010, Princeton Mobile Food Pantry began as a grassroots initiative by a concerned parent and employee of Princeton Public Schools who recognized the alarming food insecurity among students. What started as a simple mobile pantry of healthy snacks in the trunk of a car has evolved into a vital resource for the community. In 2017, a partnership with Mercer Street Friends Food Bank allowed for weekly pickups, serving over 300 individuals at the Henry Pannell Learning Center. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization became independent and mobile, adapting to biweekly deliveries of fresh groceries to families in need. In 2021, PMFP proudly received its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, solidifying its commitment to the community.

Our Impact

Currently, PMFP assists over 250 families in Princeton, providing essential groceries and household staples directly to their doorsteps. This includes fresh produce, proteins, and other necessities for more than 1,250 individuals, including infants, school-aged children, parents, and seniors.
