Our Story

Founded in 1993, the Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC) emerged from the urgent need for primary care access in low-income communities and communities of color in New York City. Established as a public-private partnership, PCDC has grown into a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health equity and access to high-quality primary care.

Impact

Since its inception, PCDC has facilitated 4.8 million primary care visits and created or preserved over 20,000 jobs, leveraging more than $1.5 billion in financing to enhance healthcare access across the nation.
