About PrideRock Wildlife Refuge
PrideRock Wildlife Refuge, located in Texas, is dedicated to the rescue and lifelong care of exotic animals, particularly big cats. The journey began in the late 1980s when Gary and Carol Holliman adopted a pair of Siberian Huskies, which ignited their passion for animal welfare. Over the years, their love expanded to include wolf hybrids and big cats, leading to the establishment of Pride & Pack in 1991, which later became PrideRock Wildlife Refuge in 1998.
Impact on Wildlife
With a commitment to providing lifelong care, PrideRock has rescued and cared for over 70 animals, including lions, tigers, cougars, bears, and a hyena. The refuge plays a crucial role in raising awareness about the challenges faced by exotic animals in captivity, especially in light of changing legislation regulating exotic animal trafficking.
