Our Story
Since 2002, the Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis International Society has been at the forefront of research, education, and training in preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). This vital collaboration among obstetricians, fertility specialists, embryologists, and human geneticists ensures the safety and accuracy of PGT, enhancing genetic practices and reproductive medicine.
Impact
With hundreds of thousands of PGT cycles performed globally by over 100 centers, the impact of PGDIS is profound. More than two-thirds of these cycles address aneuploidy, while the remaining focus on Mendelian disorders and translocations. Additionally, over 2,000 cases are now being performed for preimplantation HLA typing, showcasing the growing importance of PGT in reproductive health.
