Prayer For Prisoners International began in 1987 with a small Bible study at the Colorado Women’s Correctional Facility. It was here that the vision emerged to ensure every prisoner has someone praying for them. From humble beginnings with just 19 participants and 12 volunteers, the ministry has grown to over 400 dedicated prayer volunteers, reaching thousands of prisoners worldwide.
PFPI opens doors for Christians to share the love of Christ with incarcerated men and women through prayer, correspondence, and worship services. This initiative embodies the call to 'Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoner.'
