Our Story
The Pottawatomie County Historical Society was established in 1926 by a dedicated group of citizens passionate about preserving the local history of Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. Over the years, the society has grown significantly, leading to the creation of the Santa Fe Depot Museum, which showcases a wealth of artifacts and documents. The organization has also undertaken vital restoration projects, such as the historic Friend's Mission Church, ensuring that the community's heritage is not lost to time.
