Prevention Of Youth Violence
Support For At-Risk Youth
Community Engagement Through The Arts

Our Story

The Positive Project was founded in 1994 by Willie Alston to address the challenges faced by at-risk youth. By 1998, it evolved into an inspirational theater arts program, using entertainment to tackle youth issues. With nearly 1,920 performances, many offered free to the public, the project has become a beacon of hope in the community.

Impact

A portion of the proceeds from performances supports social services that educate the public on critical issues affecting the community. The Positive Project provides free counseling to at-risk youth and their families, aiming to prevent youth violence through the performing and visual arts.
