Founded in 1995 by Judy Ringer and local residents, Portsmouth Aikido began its journey with the guidance of Mitsunari Kanai Sensei, a direct student of Morihei Ueshiba. This educational non-profit became a 501(c)(3) in 2009, expanding its offerings to include a kids' program and fostering a supportive dojo environment.
Portsmouth Aikido has empowered hundreds of students of all ages, instilling the principles of Aikido both on the mat and in everyday life.
