About PDX Jazz

Founded in 2004, PDX Jazz has transformed the Portland Jazz Festival from a three-day event into a vibrant two-week celebration of jazz each February-March. This multi-venue festival features ticketed and free performances, films, artist conversations, lectures, masterclasses, exhibitions, and jam sessions, showcasing the rich tapestry of jazz culture.

Impact on the Community

PDX Jazz is dedicated to providing free educational outreach to under-served and under-represented students in the greater Portland area, particularly in Title 1A funded schools. These programs foster an appreciation for jazz and its African-American roots, enriching the lives of students through music.
