Our Story

The LIFT Foundation, established in 1966, is a collaborative initiative among business, civic, and nonprofit leaders aimed at addressing the critical need for affordable housing for low-income families in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Initially providing low-interest loans, LIFT has evolved to manage resources and secure funding for affordable housing, now operating over 600 apartments and townhomes.
