Our Story

The Port Washington Children’s Center was established in 1977 by a dedicated group of citizens committed to serving the economically and culturally diverse community of Port Washington. From its humble beginnings caring for just 32 children, the center has grown to accommodate up to 92 children in Early Childhood programs and 170 school-age children in after-school care.

Impact on the Community

By offering high-quality child care, the center fosters independence, motor skills, and a sense of community among children aged 18 months to 12 years, positively impacting families in Port Washington.
