Our Story

PORCH Chapel Hill-Carrboro is a grassroots hunger relief organization founded in 2010, dedicated to addressing food insecurity in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro area. Through the efforts of dedicated Neighborhood Coordinators, food and cash donations are collected and distributed to local families, pantries, and schools, making a significant impact in the community.

Impact

Since its founding, PORCH has distributed over $6.5 million in hunger relief, serving more than 2,530 individuals each month and providing over 415,000 pounds of fresh food directly to families and pantries.
