Our Story

Poppy’s Special Friends Inc. Foundation was established in 1990 to assist mentally and physically challenged children and adults in their everyday lives. By sponsoring picnics, parties, dances, and fishing events, the foundation fosters friendships and enhances coping skills. Incorporated in New York in 2005, this 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization has dedicated over 21 years to improving the lives of those with disabilities in the Long Island area. Through building ramps and providing essential items, Poppy’s Special Friends has made a significant impact on the community.
