Providing Free Athletic Opportunities To At-Risk Youth

Our Story

Founded in 2005 by Omaha Police Officer Antonio (Tony) Espejo, PACE emerged from a need for athletic opportunities in high gang violence areas of South Omaha. The program began with soccer and has expanded to include baseball, engaging thousands of at-risk youth in positive activities.

Impact

PACE has successfully engaged over 5,800 youth in sports programs, significantly reducing gang recruitment and activity. By providing positive alternatives, the program fosters relationships between police officers and the community, promoting understanding and respect.
